The Competition

한국청소년투자대회는 클라이언트 케이스 기반 투자전략 발표 대회입니다. 대회의 목표는 고객의 요구에 가장 적합한 투자 전략을 파악하고 만드는 것입니다.

각 팀은 예선 보고서를 제출해야 합니다. 예선에서 선택된 상위권 팀들은 본선에 진출하게 되며, 본선 진출 팀들은 심사위원들과 다른 팀들 앞에서 투자전략을 발표, QnA시간을 가지게 됩니다.

Korea Youth Investment Competition is a prompt-based, investing strategy pitch competition. The goal is to identify and create an investing strategy that best fits the client's needs.

Teams have to submit a report for round one. The top teams will advance into round two, where teams have to present their investing strategy to the judges and their opposition.

Dates | 날짜

- September 22nd, 2024, 11:59 PM KST: Prompt Published & Regular Registration Opens (₩30000 per student)

- October 6th, 2024, 11:59 PM KST: Regular Registration Closes/Late Registration Opens (₩40000 per student)

- October 26th, 2024, 11:59 PM KST: Late Registration Closes

- November 10th, 2024, 11:59 PM KST: Reports Due / Late Registration Closes

- December 14th, 2024 KST: Round Two / KYIC 2024

The Process | 대회과정

KYIC is a two-round process. In Round 1, teams have to submit a maximum 9-page report excluding the cover page and works cited page by November 10th 11:59pm.

Regular registration for KYIC 2024 ends on October 6th 11:59 PM KST. Late Registration closes on October 26th 11:59 PM KST.

Judges from our sponsors will review the reports and select 4 teams to advance into Round 2, which will be held through Zoom or in-person on December 14th.

For Round 2, teams have to prepare a maximum 10 minute presentation based on their Round 1 report and present in front of judges and other teams. Order for presentations will be randomly assigned.

After the presentation, there will be a QnA session for both the judges and other teams. Responses to questions will also be included in the final assessment. However, questions asked to other teams will not be considered to evaluate team competitiveness.

KYIC는 2라운드 과정입니다. 1라운드에서 팀은 11월 10일 오후 11시 59분까지 최대 9페이지 분량의 보고서를 제출해야 합니다. KYIC 2024의 일반 등록은 10월 6일 오후 11시 59분 KST에 마감됩니다. 늦은 등록은 10월 26일 오후 11시 59분 KST에 마감됩니다.

스폰서의 심사위원이 보고서를 검토하고 12월 14일에 Zoom 또는 직접 진행될 2라운드에 진출할 4개 팀을 선정합니다.

2라운드에서 팀은 1라운드 보고서를 기반으로 최대 10분 분량의 프레젠테이션을 준비하고 심사위원과 다른 팀 앞에서 발표해야 합니다. 프레젠테이션 순서는 무작위로 지정됩니다.

프레젠테이션 후 심사위원과 다른 팀을 위한 QnA 세션이 진행됩니다. 질문에 대한 답변도 최종 평가에 포함됩니다. 그러나 다른 팀에 질문한 질문은 팀 경쟁력을 평가하는 데 고려되지 않습니다.

The Goal | 대회목표

The goal of this competition is to pitch an investing strategy that is best fit for our client. The strategy should consider the preferences of the client, and make sure the financial requirements are met. For Round 1, teams will be asked to submit a 9-page report containing client analysis, the team's investment strategy, and 3~4 investments found using your strategy. *Note: When coming up with an investment portfolio, teams can pitch more than 4 investments. However, only up to 4 investments can be discussed in detail. The remaining allocations can only be briefly mentioned.

한국청소년투자대회의 목표는 클라이언트 케이스에 제시된 고객의 성향과 투자 목표를 반영해 가장 적합한 투자 전략을 제시하는 것입니다. 각 팀은 예선과제로 고객을 분석한 클라이언트 애널리시스, 팀의 투자 전략, 그리고 3~4개의 추천 투자처가 포함된 9페이지 분량의 보고서를 제출해야 합니다. 여기서 더 자세한 보고서 요구사항을 읽어 보십시오.

*Note: 투자 포트폴리오를 만들때, 팀은 4개 이상의 투자처에 투자를 할수 있습니다. 다만, 예선과제에는 최대 4개 투자처만 구체적으로 논의할 수 있습니다. 나머지 투자처들은 보고서에 간략하게만 언급될 수 있습니다.

Round One | 예선과정

Participating teams must submit a maximum 9-page report (excluding a cover page and works cited) detailing their investing strategy by November 10th, 11:59 PM.

The structure of the report is up for teams to decide. However, it must include:

A cover page, with team name, members name, and school name (not included in page count)
A client analysis section
Your team's investing strategy
3~4 investments the team found by using the strategy
Appropriate charts & visuals
A works cited page (not included in page count)

*As long as the report includes these sections, the page configurations are up for teams to choose.

Report Formatting:

12 point font; Times New Roman
1.15 line spacing
1 inch margin
Single column- double column formatting is not allowed

SUBMISSION

If your team’s final report is complete, the team leader should email it to admin@koreayic.org as a pdf file. Remember to title the email subject: Teamname_Final Report.

Example: High School Investors_Final Report

Reports submitted past the deadline will not be accepted, and registration will not be refunded.

참가팀들은 예선과제로 2024년 11월 10일 오후 11시 59분까지 최대 9페이지 분량의 투자전략 보고서(표지 및 참고문헌 제외)를 제출해야 합니다.

팀의 최종 보고서가 완성되admin@koreayic.org에 pdf 파일로 제출해 주세요. 이메일 제목을 Teamname_Final Report로 지정하는 것을 잊지 마세요.

마감일 이후에 제출된 보고서는 접수되지 않으며, 등록금은 환불되지 않습니다.

Round Two | 본선과정

When round one winners are announced, teams that advance into round two need to prepare a max 10-minute presentation based on their Round 1 report.

The presentation must include, but not necessarily in this order:

Introduction
Client analysis
Your team's strategy and decision-making process
3~4 investments the team found by using the strategy
Strengths of your team's investment strategy
Any other things you want to share to the judges or the opposition

After the presentations are over, teams will be asked questions from the judges and from the other team. Round 2 will be held online through ZOOM on December 14th.

본선에 진출하는 팀들은 본선과제로 예선 보고서의 내용을 최대 10분 가량의 프레젠테이션으로 정리해야 합니다.

프레젠테이션에는 다음이 포함되어야 하지만, 꼭 이 순서로 해야 하는것은 아닙니다.
